India grants citizenship to Pakistani, Bangladeshi refugees in held Kashmir

SRINAGAR/NEW DELHI (Daily Dunya) – Indian government on Thursday approved to grant citizenship to Pakistani and Bangladeshi refugees in occupied Kashmir.

As per the granted package approved by Indian interior minister Rajnath Singh, children of the refugees will get free education and training. The families will get aid of Rs 30 lakh each along with chance to join the army and government employment.

The relief package was announced by the interior minister on recommendation of the joint parliamentary committee.

Along with the permanent residency status in the occupied state, the refugees will also get voting right depending on approval of the assembly.
