LAHORE (Dunya News) – Convicted terrorist Akramul Haq with notorious alias Akram Lahori is scheduled to be executed today at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, the complainant and defendant’s lawyers moved to stay the execution hours before the scheduled time pleading ‘pardon by the aggrieved party’. The magistrate is scheduled to rule on the last minute plea at 5 in the morning.
Lahori was convicted and sentenced to death in 2001 over charges of firing in a procession and murdering innocent citizens by the special anti-terrorism court of Faisalabad.
The death warrants of the convicted terrorists were issued on Monday which will be acted upon today in Lahore.
The arrangements to execute Lahori have been completed and strict security arrangements have been made.
