 LAHORE (Dunya News) – The special anti- terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday gave its decision for the kidnapping case of American doctor Weinstein. The fugitive Hafiz Imran was handed out with 3 consecutive death sentences.


According to details, Hafiz Imran was convicted for the kidnapping of the American doctor by the ATC and sentenced to death. Hafiz Imran is said to be a member of Al-Qaeda. A case for the kidnapping of Dr Warren Weinstein was registered against him on 13th August 2011.


The seventy year old contractor of USAID, Weinstein was kidnapped from the city of Lahore. Al Qaeda verified that he was in their custody. A video message was also sent by Ayman al-Zawahiri relating to the kidnapping of the American citizen. Weinstein is a resident of the American state of Maryland. He had been working in Pakistan for many years.
