FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – A housemaid was allegedly tortured and murdered in Faisalabad on Wednesday. The owners managed to escape after the police got the news of the incident.
Maria, 10, worked in Thana People s Colony Shadman Colony Area, where she was reportedly tortured to death.
According to victim s maternal uncle Ghulam Hussain they were informed of the girl s death but when they reached the spot they found scars on her body.
The police reached the scene on the report of the maternal uncle and took the body into custody which was later sent for an autopsy.
According to the police, Maria’s younger sister, Safia, also worked in the same house and was locked in a room. The police have recovered her and will record her statement.
Case will be registered according to the complaint of the relatives, the police added.
