Summary Terrorists will not be allowed to succeed in their designs, the former president said.
Islamabad (Web Desk) - In a message on a day before the 7th death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, former president Asif Ali Zardari said that it was reassuring that the nation today seemed more united than ever before in its determination to exterminate the militants.
“Today we pay homage to the prophetic vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and salute her and all those who laid down their lives fighting militancy and extremism,” he stated.
Asif Zardari said “we will not allow the fanatics to destroy the state and will resolutely fight them to the finish.”
He said that it was abundantly clear that the sole agenda of these barbarians is to take over the state and install what they call caliphate dismantling all democratic structures. Their agenda is the same as that of Daesh in Iraq and Syria, Al –Shabbab in Kenya and Boko Haram in Nigeria.
They will not be allowed to succeed in their designs, the former president said.
He said that today we also remember our martyrs who have laid their lives fighting extremists. If militants have not succeeded in their designs it is because of their sacrifices; we salute them all.
