ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister Interior Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday said terrorism could not be tackled overnight and that harmony between the civil and military authorities is needed to counter extremism.
Outlining the action plan against the terrorism while addressing the national parliamentary leaders Nisar said Army is over exposed at the borders and other operations whereas 10 thousand army officers were deployed in various cities of the state as the police were not adequately equipped.
He said government had requested the deployment of army is the cities under Article 245 and none of the provinces besides Punjab and Federal had given the requisition for army; in which case the army would be withdrawn from those provinces.
Nisar hinted that services of retired army officers will also be employed while a special force comprising five thousand army men will also be formed.
Establishment of military courts shall also be considered and relevant apprehensions would be addressed, he added.
He said outlawed organizations operating under different names will also be halted from operation as per a suggestion adding that banned outfits resume operation under variant names after being barred adding that financing terrorism and terrorist organizations must also be stopped.

A code of conduct will also be issued for the media including broadcast and social media in regard to the breaking news pertaining to the terrorists as terrorists keep misusing the media.
