Summary Rehman Malik said we have to overlook political disagreements and unite against terrorist.

LAHORE (Dunya News)— Former Interior Minister and leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rehman Malik on Friday said that IS militants are also involved in the Peshawar attack. This is IS militant’s brutal way of killing children, he added.

Rehman Malik spoke to media at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on his return from London and said that Afghanistan should be given a clear response to hand over the wanted terrorists to Pakistan.

Legal action should be taken against the terrorists, demanded Rehman Malik. He said that hopefully Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Raheel Sharif has conveyed this stern message during his emergency visit to Afghanistan.

He said that in order to fight IS militants and terrorists an effective strategy needs to be formulated. Had we not wasted time over negotiations, better results could have been obtained. I have no doubts that the attack on Peshawar school was a joint terror plot by IS and TTP militants, said Malik. He said that we have to overlook political disagreements and unite against terrorist.

He remarked that he has been asking Imran Khan to call off protests and unite against terrorism. He also affirmed that PPP will support any policy devised to wipe out terrorism form this country.
