Karachi Operation: Rangers kill TTP commander Abid Muchar, three militants

KARACHI (Dunya News) — Four terrorists including Commander of banned organization Abid Machhar were killed on Friday in search operation by Rangers in Musharraf Colony of Karachi. One of the Rangers was also critically injured.

The intelligence agencies received a tip-off about the presence of banned organization’s workers. The area was cordoned-off and the entry and exit points were barred before the operation began.

According to the Rangers’ spokesperson the terrorists opened fire on the Rangers and also hurled four cracker blasts at them. In a retaliatory firing, the Rangers killed four terrorists including Commander of banned terrorist organization Abid Macchar.

The accused are suspected to be involved in CID bomb blast, sectarian target killings and terrorist activities.

One of the Rangers’ official was also injured in the attack and was shifted to the hospital. The Rangers recovered explosive materials including submachine guns and hand grenades.
