FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Friday presented himself in the Samanabad Police Station regarding the case registered against him and others who allegedly are involved in the Faisalabad shooting incident. He said that the investigations must be done on merit so that the people of the counry get to know who actually is involved in the murder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) worker Haq Nawaz.

While talking to the media, he said that he had come there regarding the first hand report (FIR) of the Haq Nawaz murder case.

He denied the allegations against him in the case and expressed a resolve to act within the premises of the law.

Ali also said that they want to be a part of the investigations and that they support investigations into the matter. He is ready to help in the investigations round the clock and whenever he would be called for the matter he would make sure that his there, he added.

The minister said that he strongly denounces the blood shed that happened in Faisalabad and that it was not pre-planned at all.

He said that he does not know the shooter and that his mobile phone recordings must also be with the security agencies.

Ali also said that if he had asked anybody to hinder PTI’s protest in Faisalabad or had paased any command to any Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) worker regarding the matter then he would quit politics.

He further said that the Prime Minister (PM) has taken notice of the Faisalabad shooting incident and that there would no politics over such a sad incident.
