ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has disposed of the CEC appointment case after Justice (retd) Sarad Raza Khan’s appointment as new Chief Election Commissioner.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the case.
The bench declared that no further proceeding has been required in the case as the appointment has been made.
Earlier on Dec 6, Supreme Court Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk administered the oath of the office to Justice (R) Sardar Muhammad Raza, as Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan in a simple but dignified ceremony.
Judges of the Supreme Court, Attorney General for Pakistan, Officers of Election Commission of Pakistan, Federal Judicial Academy, Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan prominent lawyers and Law officers also attended the ceremony.
Syed Tahir Shahbaz, Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan conducted the proceedings of oath taking ceremony. Officers and staff of the Supreme Court of Pakistan were also present on the occasion.
