MUZAFFARGARH (Dunya News) – At least three people doused acid on a woman as a result of a dispute on Friday.
Azhara Bibi, mother of four, was a resident of Ali Wala area of Muzaffargarh who got married 10 years ago. Her husband was a labourer in Lahore.
Azhara got into an argument with Saeed, an influential feudal lord, which soon turned into a heated squabble, Saeed called in three of his cronies, doused acid on her and absconded.
Rescue team transferred the victim to Nishtar Hospital where doctors have confirmed that 70% of her body has been burned informing that her condition was critical.
The police have filed case against three persons but no detention has yet taken place.
