Summary Shahbaz Sharif addressed a high level conference in Lahore to discuss corrections in police system.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Speaking at a conference in Lahore Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that in order to provide justice to the common people an attitude change in the police force is required. A computerized records management system must be introduced in the police stations for registration of applications. Satellite labs will be installed in the nine divisions of Forensic Science Lab.
A high level conference was held in Model Town Lahore which was presided by Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. Issues including corrections in the police system, improvement in the work conditions at police stations and providing justice to the common people were brought under discussion.
According to CM, Information Technology can be used in the police stations to provide speedy justice to the people. He suggested steps to improve working of police force by introducing a system of monitoring, The people should receive stern feedback with reference to their complaints and the communication system can play an important role in it.
Reforms are required in the police system and the cabinet committee should try resolving issues faced at police stations after reviewing their work conditions.
The cabinet committee must also provide some important measures that can be taken to improve the police system including providing speedy justice to people and offering crime prevention solutions.
