PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has announced on Thursday to hold Local Body Elections in April 2015.
The government is ready to hold local body elections even without biometric system however, the Election Commission (EC) of Pakistan has not officially contacted the government in this regard.
The provincial government has also increased the allocation of the provincial resources to the district local councils by as much as 30 percent.
On the other hand, the locals are positive that holding of local body elections would counter the problems faced by the people.
They said that their problems would now be solved at their doorstep due to the transference of authority to the lower levels which are easily accessible for them.
