Summary All appointments are being done on merit, says Sharjeel Memon
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Associate Member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee, Wasim Akhtar on Wednesday has said that the Sindh government is constantly “murdering” the merit by not appointing any person who speaks Urdu or belongs to any other ethnicity.
He expressed these views at a press conference in Khursheed Begum Secretariat in Karachi.
Akhtar said that MQM does not want to cause problems for the people of Karachi otherwise it is not a big task for the party to shut the city down to demonstrate a protest.
On this occasion, the eligible people who have been trying to get a post in the Police Department for past five years said that they do not belong to MQM and they have brought their issue to MQM centre Nine Zero by themselves.
On the other hand, Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon said that all the allegations by MQM on the Sindh government are baseless.
He further said that all the appointments in various departments of the province are being done on merit.
