Summary CM Punjab sent invitations to representatives of 24 countries who attended gathering, JI chief told
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq met Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday and thanked him for cooperating in organizing the 3-day JI gathering in Lahore. JI Chief met CM Punjab along with a delegation of JI leaders, Dunya News reported.
Holding a press conference on this occasion with Sirajul Haq, Shahbaz Sharif criticized the sit-in protests saying that protest should always remain within the boundaries of law.
Sirajul Haq told on this occasion that invitations to the representatives of 24 countries who attended the JI gathering in Lahore were sent by CM Punjab. He said that JI was grateful for CM’s cooperation. Sirajul Haq said that the enemies of Islam wanted to divide the ‘Ummah’. He insisted that the Ummah needed unity.
