Summary LHC orders tribunal to continue inspection adding that tribunal cannot hear Khan's petition.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday dismissed the petition submitted by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Saddiq to halt election tribunal’s proceedings regarding record inspection in NA-122.
The court ordered the tribunal to continue the proceedings adding that election tribunal cannot hear Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s petition concerning rigging in constituency NA-122.
Earlier, LHC on Tuesday reserved its verdict on a petition challenging election tribunal’s proceedings on rigging allegations in NA-122 whereas session court on Tuesday ordered to probe the records of constituency NA-122 on November 20 .
Returning Officers (ROs) issued notices to all the candidates including Imran Khan and Ayaz Sadiq in reference to examination of electoral rigging in NA-122.
