Summary Nepra finalised a report regarding performance of power distribution companies.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a report regarding perfoemance of the power distribution companies on Wednesday. The report states that performance of power distribution companies was very poor during 2013 and 2014.
According to the report, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Multan Electric Supply Company (MEPCO) and QUETTA Electric Supply Company (QESCO) have failed to reduce line losses. The companies have provided inaccurate figures regarding load shedding and new connections.
The report further states that FESCO provided bogus record regarding the load shedding.
On the other hand, NEPRA has recommended full audit of the distribution companies (DISCOs).
