Summary Pervaiz Khattak expressed strong reaction against issuance of arrest warrants against him
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak on Thursday said that he doesn’t even have a knife and yet he is being booked for terrorism, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a ceremony at Islamia College University in Peshawar, Khattak expressed strong reaction against the issuance of arrest warrants of key leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
He said that he doesn’t even own a knife and yet being booked in murder case.
Meanwhile, PTI chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that he is not scared of prison and that he will quit politics if proven guilty in PTV building vandalism case, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the ‘Azadi dharna’ participants, Khan said that there’s nothing new about arrest warrants against him. He said that he will quit politics if he is found guilty in the accusations.
Earlier, arrest warrants of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and other key leaders were issued on Wednesday in attack on PTV building case.
According to state-run TV, Islamabad’s anti-terrorism court issued arrest warrants against Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak, PTI lawmaker Asad Umar and PAT leader Raheeq Abbasi in cases regarding attacks on parliament and PTV building during sit-in protests in Islamabad.
The cases against the accused are registered in Islamabad’s Secretariat Police Station.
A violent mob had attacked the buildings of parliament and PTV in a clash with the police in August.
