ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Germany on a two day visit where he would meet German leaders to discuss bilateral relations and address the Business Forum organized by Pakistan Board of Investment in Berlin.
According to PM House spokesperson, Germany and Pakistan share quite a cordial relationship and PM is visiting Germany on the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Germany is Pakistan’s fourth largest trading partner globally and the largest in the EU. Pakistan’s bilateral trade with Germany stands at 2.5 billion dollars annually.
Germany is Pakistan’s imperative trade partner; this visit therefore holds significance in terms of economic cooperation. PM will meet German business executives and investors.
In an interview with a German television channel, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed to resolve and to get rid of energy crisis at all costs to ensure an early economic revival and invited the German investors to invest in Pakistan particularly in energy and agriculture sectors.
