Summary Ex-CJ says there is no deadline to defamation notice, won't pull out of the notice under any deal

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that it was Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan who was sold out to the former dictator General (r) Pervaiz Musharraf. He said that there are no deadlines to defamation notices. He said that he will not pull out of the notice sent to Imran Khan and will not make any deals with him, he said.

Talking to media today (Monday) after consoling Advocate Akram Sheikh on his wife’s death, Iftikhar Chaudhry said that Imran Khan doesn’t even know what a Returning Officer (RO) is. He said that Imran Khan counts only himself among respectable people whereas he should realize that everyone in Pakistan is respectable. “I had challenged Pervaiz Musharraf. It was Imran Khan who got sold out to him”, said former CJP. “Iftikhar Chaudhry gave Pervaiz Musharraf a response that he still doesn’t have an answer to”, he said.

Iftikhar Chaudhry said that all institutions of the country are strong and are working within the folds of the constitution. When questioned about joining politics, Iftikhar Chaudhry said that people will have to wait for an answer to this question.

On the other hand, Ex-CJP was traveling on a car that did not bear the number plate on it. The official registration number of government car allotted to him is registered under number 0341.
