Summary When we demand justice, democracy gets in danger; we won’t leave w/o PM’s resignation, says Imran
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the people involved in alleged election fraud will have to be punished. He said that when PTI demands justice, it is told that the democracy is in danger. Imran said that he will not end the Islamabad sit-in without getting resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. “People involved in election fraud will have to be punished otherwise next election will also be rigged”, he said.
Addressing the sit-in protesters today (Sunday) in Islamabad, Chairman PTI said that justice is not possible without Nawaz Sharif leaving his position. He said that the former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry used to take suo moto actions on smallest of issues but did nothing on alleged election fraud. He said that if people responsible for election rigging did not get punished, next election will also be rigged and the same parties will again come to power.
Imran Khan said that the rulers ruined all the institutions of the country so that nobody could hold them accountable for their deeds. “Nawaz Sharif should tell why four constituencies weren’t opened if elections were not rigged?” he questioned. Answering his question then, Imran said that the reason was only that massive fraud will be unearthed if the constituencies got opened. He said that Speaker National Assembly has got a stay order on recounting of votes for the last 10 months. How long will he keep hiding behind stay order, asked Imran.
