Summary Police official was suspended who had assaulted a young boy searching for his missing cousin
MULTAN: (Dunya News) – Investigation team for Qasim Bagh incident in Multan that took place yesterday (Saturday), claiming precious lives, visited the venue today and probed the eyewitnesses. Members of the committee examined the venue and all the gates of the stadium. Police briefed the inquiry team on this occasion about the mishap that took place there.
Inquiry committee comprised of Secretary Environment Punjab Iqbal Chauhan, Specialy Secretary Dr. Shoaib Akbar and DIG Police Aamir Malik. CPO Multan briefed the committee over stampede that broke out after the end of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) gathering on Friday. Inquiry committee did various questions on this occasion. They also recorded the statements of the eyewitnesses on this occasion.
Talking to the media on this occasion, Iqbal Chauhan told that after recording the statements of the eyewitnesses, administration, rally management and Police, Inquiry Committee will send the report to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
Some PTI workers raised slogans against the government when the inquiry committee arrived at the venue. A police official was also suspended on this occasion who had assaulted a youngster looking for his missing cousin.
