Summary MQM leader warns of country-wide protests, asks for explanation from PPP in Assembly, Senate

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi has termed the statements given by Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as open threats and based on prejudice. He said that MQM will seek an explanation from PPP in Sindh Assembly, National Assembly and Senate.

Holding a press conference today (Monday) in Karachi against Bilawal’s statements, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM will soon come up with a strong response to Bilawal’s threats. Addressing the media during MQM Rabita Committee’s press conference, Rizvi said that MQM’s demand for new administrative units is giving sleepless nights to the feudal leaders and landlords. “Some people want to save their falling repute through use of force”, said MQM leader.

Haider Abbas Rizvi said that 100 MQM workers were murdered on which MQM launched strong protest but it must be clear that MQM does not fear threats and politics of confrontation. “Bilawal’s threat to Altaf Hussain will cause further decline to PPP”, said Rizvi. He said that MQM may start country-wide protests in response to Bilawal’s statements.
