Summary PPP govt passed resolution of new provinces in Parliament, says MQM leader
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi has said that MQM never demanded Sindh’s division. He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had also presented resolution of more provinces in Parliament during their tenure but when MQM demanded the same, PPP made an issue out of it.
Speaking at a press conference today (Friday) in Karachi, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM has only demanded 20 administrative units in Sindh, not division of Sindh. “All political parties support new provinces”, he said.
Criticizing Pakistan tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Nadir Leghari’s statement, Haider Abbas Rizvi said that Nadir Leghari’s statement is based on lingual bias. “Is Sindh not included in PTI’s New Pakistan?” asked Rizvi. He said that whenever the population of a city exceeds 5000000, it is divided into smaller administrative units. We should also learn from our mistakes, he said.
