Sirajul Haq hopeful for quick resolution of political impasse

Summary Sirajul Haq said that there are still many speed breakers in the way of negotiations.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said that he is not unhopeful and that the political impasse will soon be resolved, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the press after the ‘political jirga’ meeting, Jamaat chief said that the political jirga is working in good faith and that he prays for the successful resolution of the conflicts.
Sirajul Haq said that there are still many speed breakers in the way of negotiations.
He said that this is the first time that the political parties and the parliament have ‘matured’ and that the political jirga is making efforts to improve its role.
Jamaat chief appealed the nation to get fully involved in flood relief efforts, urging them to support the affectees in difficult times.
Meanwhile, the jirga member Rehman Malik said that the whole nation is looking at the Jirga for the possible solution to the problem.
Nationalist Party’s acting president Senator Hasil Bizenjo said that it is their national and political responsibility to make efforts to end the deadlock. He said that he is ready to play the role of facilitator if given the responsibility.
