ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –During his address to the joint session of the Parliament, Prime Minister said that the current political turmoil has caused irreparable damage to the national economy, Dunya News reported.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed the joint session of the parliament, which was held on fourth consecutive day. During his speech, he reiterated the need for unity in the present political crisis, urging the leaders to stand united for the greater cause of rule of law and supremacy of parliament.
PM hailed the role of opposition for supporting him when his resignation was demanded. He said that premiership is not a bed of roses and that he does not care for his government. He expressed sorrow over the cancellation of tours of Chinese and Sri Lankan president due to sit-ins, saying that they were to announce investments worth billions of dollars.
While apologizing to Aitzaz Ahsan and Khursheed Shah over Chaudhary Nisar’s statement, he assured that all the matters will be solved with mutual co-operation. He also praised the role of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) for supporting him in the present crisis and said that he would have played the same role if it would have been PPP in his place.
