KARACHI (Dunya News) - Former President and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari telephoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and discussed the ongoing political deadlock.
Asif Ali Zardari also spoke with Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq and exchanged views on possible ways to end the impasse.
Asif Ali Zardari rang up Awami Muslim League Chairman Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and urged him to press Imran Khan for talks.
Asif Ali Zardari also formed committees comprising on Qamar Zaman Kaira, Rehman Malik, Khursheed Shahm, Raza Rabbani and Aitzaz Ahsan to mediate among PTI chairman, PAT chief Tahirul Qadri and the government in order to resolve the current political crisis.
