Summary Pervez Elahi says government's protest in response to ours will push country towards civil war
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that there are plans to attack the PML-Q leadership during the ‘revolution march’. He informed that a letter has been sent to Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police in this regard. He said that if the government tried to stage protests in response to our marches, it will push the country toward civil war.
Talking to a press conference along with party leaders at his residence today (Monday), Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that plans to attack PML-Q leadership outside Zahoor Elahi Palace in Gujrat, in connivance with the administration, have been unearthed. He alleged Pakistan Muslim League (N) MNAs from Gujrat, local MPAs, District Police Officer (DPO) and District Coordination Officer (DCO) of being involved in this conspiracy.
PML-Q leader informed that a letter had been written to the IG Punjab in this regard and if an attack took place the sole responsibility will be upon Prime Minister, Chief Minister Punjab and IG Police.
Former Chief Minister Punjab said on this occasion that martial laws and earthquakes do not issue a warning prior to their occurrence. But he said that he was against the imposition of martial law. He appealed to the people to come out of their houses for bringing ‘Change’.
