Cop dead, dozens injured as police, PAT clashes turn bloody

The bloody clashes between police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in various cities of Punjab left one policeman dead and dozens of police officers injured, Dunya News reported.
Several areas of Punjab presented a picture of battlefield. A policeman died as result of violence by the charged workers. The clashes also left at least fifty five police officials injured in Gujranwala.
Several of PAT workers were also wounded.
Cases under Anti-Terrorism act have been registered against those who attacked police stations in Gojra and Khushab.
PAT workers were equipped with modified sticks having sharp side of the nails attached to attack. Several of the PAT workers also brought stock of stones to attack the law enforcement.
Reportedly, PAT workers also torched half a dozen police vehicles.
