ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said on Wednesday after meeting Prime Minister that various options are being considered to avoid any unwarranted situation amid the present political crisis, Dunya News reported.
JI chief met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after meeting PTI chief Imran Khan in Islamabad in which he made the prime minister aware of the discussion he had with Imran Khan.
According to the details, both leaders agreed on pursuing mutual efforts for the sake of stability of democracy and constitution.
Haq said afterward, while talking to the media, that various options are being considered to prevent any unwarranted situation that can arise as the result of the ongoing political crisis.
He said opposition’s job is to make demands and to protest whereas the responsibility to resolve issues lies with the government.
He said it is to be seen how the federal government handles the issues, adding that JI also has the reservations over rigging in Karachi and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA), ‘cruelty’ in Hyderabad and ‘failure’ of Election Commission.
