Summary PPP regime upheld democratic values unlike PML-N led govt.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari contacted Pakistani Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri to exchange views pertaining to the current political crisis faced by Pakistan in such ‘chaotic’ times.
Zardari called Qadri twice with an interval of 15 minutes as they indulged in a detailed conversation.
PAT chief explained the details of the ‘Inqilab’ march to co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
On this occasion, Zardari said that the true essence of democracy is upholding the values of freedom of expression while citing examples from the previous PPP regime where no political worker was ever arrested neither was any case registered against any political leader.
