KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Hider Abbas Rizvi said on Saturday that even though MQM has gotten the mandate, it doesn’t have the real authority, rendering them unable to solve the city’s problems, Dunya News reported.
Addressing All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization’s Iftar dinner, Rizvi said that MQM has gotten mandate in the past many years from Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas and Sukkur. He said that MQM doesn’t have the true authority despite having the mandate.
Rizvi said that the lack of authority is the reason that his party-led government is unable to solve problems of the Karachi city.
He said Karachi is the only metropolitan of the world that does not have any mayor.
