Secret monitoring of IDPs begins in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Secret monitoring of the displaced persons from North Waziristan has been started in the federal capital, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, special teams comprising intelligence units of special branch and police stations have been constituted to monitor the unregistered Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

The suspected persons in guise of IDPS would be arrested and produced in the anti-terrorism court to get their remand.

Meanwhile, all the property dealers in the city have been directed to submit details of the tenants in the police stations of their areas.

The sources claimed that computerized registration of ten thousand tenants in Islamabad including Afghan and other foreign nationals has been completed.

They further added that police authorities headed by Additional Superintendant Police (ASP) Riwan Gondal would hold a meeting with property dealers on Monday after which the property dealers would be bound to submit details of tenants to the local police stations.

The federal police has also contacted Attock police to obtain details regarding the IDPs.
