Summary Dar directs to simplify the pension procedure and seek single page information from pensioners.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Federal government has decided to pay pension through ATM cards.
This was decided at a meeting held under the chair of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday.
Ishaq Dar has emphasized introducing new smart cards for pensioners to get their pensions through ATMs. He said government functionaries will not be allowed to create problems for the pensioners.
Dar said newly retired government servants, who served till first of this month, will get their pensions through their pay accounts.
Later, a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar also discussed measures to resolve long standing trade issues between Pakistan and Russia.
Addressing the meeting, Dar said there was a lot of potential in trade between the two countries but they could not benefit from it due to this impasse.
He said solution of these issues would be a win-win situation for the Russian government and our businessmen.
Earlier, Chairman Board of Investment, Miftah Ismail informed the meeting that the Pakistani businessmen who are party to the litigation in the courts with the Russian government have agreed to resolve the dispute. He said proposals to this effect have been communicated to the Russian side.
