ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk will take oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan on Sunday (today).
The oath taking ceremony will be held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Justice Jilani retired on Saturday from his service.

Chief Justice-designate Nasir-ul-Mulk paid tributes to the outgoing Chief Justice for his meritorious services to uphold the rule of law and dispensation of justice.
Judges of the supreme Court, Judges of the Federal Shariat Court and Islamabad High Court President, supreme Court Bar Association, Attorney General for Pakistan, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council, senior advocates, Federal Ministers and others will attend the ceremony.
Justice Nasirul Mulk will remain Chief Justice of Pakistan till August 16 2015 as per his biodata available on the official website of the Supreme Court.
Justice Nasirul Mulk belongs to Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and did Barrister-at-Law from the Inner Temple London in 1976 he delivered lecturers in Khyber Law College Peshawar and the Peshawar University besides delivering lectures as Guest Speaker at N.W.F.P. Provincial Services Academy Peshawar.
He practiced as an Advocate in all fields of Law for more than 17 Years till his elevation as judge of the Peshawar High Court. He also remained as Chief Justice Peshawar High Court for some time before his elevation as judge of the Supreme Court.
He was elected as Secretary General, Peshawar High Court Bar Association in 1981 He was also elected twice as President of High Court Bar Association, Peshawar in 1990 and 1993. He also remained Advocate General N.W.F.P. in 1993.
He was appointed as Judge of the Peshawar High Court on 04.06.1994 and elevated as Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court on 31.05.2004 he was appointed as Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan on 05.04.2005.
He also remained Chairman Federal Review Board of Pakistan since 2009. He is right now also Acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan and Judge Incharge Federal Judicial Academy.
Justice Nasirul Mulk also participated in International Symposiums including International Judicial Training Conference Barcelona, Spain 2007, World Justice Forum II Austria Center Vienna 2009, The International Association of Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions (IASAJ) 2010, Congress Sydney & Canberra Australia.
He also headed the delegation of the Judges and legal fraternity of the country to visit to United States of America in 2013.
