KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least four terrorists were killed in police encounter during a search operation near the Northern Bypass on Wednesday.
According to SSP Malir, Rao Anwar, militants, who were killed in the encounter, belong to banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Weapons including a Kalashnikov and three TT pistols were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
Police said that the search operation was launched on the tipoff of the presence of foreign terrorists in the locality.
Police added that several suspects were also detained for interrogation.
The alleged terrorists were wanted in various criminal cases, police claimed.
