MULTAN (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday raided the residence of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani but had to leave because Gilani was not home. Gilani said that FIA violated the court order by raiding his house without any notice or warning, Dunya News reported.
Former prime minister is wanted by FIA over the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases against him. The agency had formed a four-member team to conduct the raid and the raid was carried out at Gilani’s residence under supervision of Director FIA Irtaza Shah.
FIA team had to return empty-handed because the former prime minister was not available at home.
Talking on the occasion, Gilani’s secretary said that the former prime minister will appear before court on June 17.
