Summary Karachi airport has been declared clear as all attackers were killed by security forces.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to DG ISPR, Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Karachi airport has been cleared and all the 10 militants were killed by security forces in almost six-hour long battle.
“#Kci Update:Remaining 4 terrorists also killed in gunfight, bringing the total killed to 10,Alhamdulillah- at 0435”, Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa said on Twitter.
“#Kci Update:Area cleared.No damage to aircraft, fire visible in pics was not plane but a building,now extinguished.All vital assets intact”, Asim Bajwa further twitted.
“#Kci Update:Precautionary sweep after day light.Airport will be cleared by mid day for operations,handed back to CAA/ASF.Pakistan Zindabad!”, DG ISPR twitted.
