PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - A top militant commander of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was killed Thursday in a clash between rival factions of the group in the restive tribal area in northwest of the country.
According to reports, Ashiq Ullah Mehsud was killed in a clash in the Hurmaz village near Mir Ali town in north Waziristan Agency.
He was also a trainer of suicide bombers.
Ashiqullah Mehsud has been attacked and killed due to internal disputes in Taliban groups actively working in Pakistan.
The incident is believed to be the result of rivalry between the Shehryar Mehsud and Khan Said Sajna groups. The latter also parted ways with the central TTP group.
