APHC chief Mirwaiz lauds PM Nawaz visit to India

Summary Kashmiri people should also be involved in Pak-India dialogue process, Mirwaiz said.

(Web Desk) - Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday said that Kashmiri people see the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to India as a positive step, the Radio Pakistan reported. 

In an interview, he said the meeting between the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and India can lead to resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute.

He said India should shun its intransigence on Kashmir and make serious efforts to resolve the issue.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the Kashmiri people should also be involved in Pak-India dialogue process. 

The current visit of the Pakistani premier has raised hopes for development in bilateral relations and resumption of peace dialogue between the two neighboring countries.

PM Nawaz will stay overnight in India and will have meetings with his newly elected Indian counterpart and President Pranab Mukherjee to discuss the Indo-Pak relationship and the resumption of bilateral dialogue.
