Kite string death: Punjab CM dismisses DSP, SHOs

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has dismissed the suspended SHOs of Badami Bagh and Ravi Road along with the DSP of Shafeeqabad over the death of a man in a kite string related incident.

A 28-year-old person was on his way to home on a motorcycle when a kite string slit his throat near Badami Bagh Sabzi Mandi Bridge. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

The deceased was identified as Hafiz Rashid who was a resident of Ferozewala. 

The heirs of the victim protested outside the hospital while held high officials and police responsible for the tragic incident.

Following their protest, Punjab CM took notice of the incident and sought a report from Punjab IG.

Earlier, the DIG Operations Lahore Rana Abdul Jabbar suspended the SHOs of Badami Bagh and Ravi Road police station for negligence.
