KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dunya News on Thursday exposed an illegal torture cell setup by police in Shanti Nagar area that held four persons.

According to reports, Sub-Inspector Jabbar Abro had established a torture cell in Shanti Nagar area.
When Dunya News’s team arrived at the sight, there were four individuals held in the cell and two police officials were deployed for monitoring who shut the door of the cell while confronting Dunya News team.
Abro reached the cell in his official vehicle and upon asking the reason for establishing the extrajudicial torture cell, he couldn’t answer.
After the news aired, father of one of the captives Salman reached Dunya News office in panic, desperate to find out about the whereabouts of his son.
He said that his son went missing a month earlier.
Acting on the development, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Pir Mohammad Shah suspended Jabbar Abro and ordered an investigation into the matter.
