PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Two teachers belonging to a government high school were killed in a shooting by unidentified gunmen in the town of Hangu, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

According to police, one of the teachers identified as Shamim Badshah died on the spot while another teacher namely Liaquat Hussain succumbed to his injuries at the district hospital.

The deceased Shamim Badshah belonged to Hangu while Liaqat Ali belonged to the Haji Zai area of Kohat.

Police cordoned off the crime scene and launched a search operation in the area.

Meanwhile, students of the government high school came out on roads and blocked main GT road in protest against the incident.

Angry students chanted slogans against the local administration.

Hangu borders Orakzai tribal region, one of Pakistan s seven tribal districts on the Afghan border considered to be the hub of Taliban and Al-Qaeda linked fighters.
