KARACHI (Web Desk) – A major disaster was averted today (Wednesday) when bomb disposal squad defused a bomb planted in city’s main oil tanker terminal in Kemari, Dunya News reported.
As per details, an oil tanker TLH-281 was parked at the terminal when a cleaner spotted the bomb on it.
The witness informed the authorities at Jackson police station and soon after that a contingent of Rangers and police personnel arrived at the scene.
Meanwhile, the bomb disposal squad secured the area and defused the bomb.
According to BDS official, 800 grams explosives including large number of ball bearings were used in the remote-controlled bomb.
The incident came a day after three oil tankers were damaged on Mauripur Road near Gulbai area.
