PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – One militant was killed and another got injured when a bomb exploded in Miranshah area of North Waziristan, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

According to sources, the remote-controlled bomb exploded early morning when a group of militants were visiting the Miranshah bazaar.

Sources confirmed that those targeted in the attack belonged to Punjabi Taliban group.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but infighting between different Taliban factions have killed dozens of people in the area recently.

On the other hand, a suspected terrorist was killed when a grenade exploded in his hand in Dera Ismail Khan.

The incident happened when security forces were conducting search operation in Basti Javed Nagar of village Jabarwala.

Security officials had information regarding existence of three terrorists in the area, who belonged to South Waziristan.

One terrorist identitied as Nasibullah was killed in the blast while two others managed to escape from the scene.

Security forces have seized heavy weapons from the site.
