Summary Police also recovered weapons of different type from the possession of the accused.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least eight suspects including three target killers were arrested from different areas of the city on Friday. 

Police arrested a target killer during raid in Baloch Colony. According to SSP South Nasir Aftab, target killer Al Akbar alias Zakir was involved in the killing of 40 people and several acts of kidnapping for ransom and extortion. He said that a hand grenade and a Kalashnikov was recovered from the possession of the accused.

In another raid in Ferozabad, police arrested a target killer who was also linked to gang war. Police claimed that accused Akram had shot two local councilors dead in 2005. One of them was PPP councilor Nawab Khan.

Meanwhile, an accused involved in the killing of 27 people was arrested during police raid in Freire area. SSP South Nasir Aftab said that the accused was a member of Aziz Baloch’s alleged gang war group. The accused was involved in the killing of eight MQM workers and he had involvement in Arshad Papu case. Hand grenade and Kalashnikov was recovered from the accused.

At leeast five accused were arrested during a raid in Sadar area. According to police, the accused were involved in robberies and street crimes while six TT pistols, 22 mobile phones and two snatched motorcycles were recovered from the accused. The accused confessed to committing more than 100 incidents of crime.
