Taliban have sought two days to consult over dialogue process: Ibrahim

Summary Ceasefire from both sides is necessary to continue dialogue process, the TTP negotiator said.

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Professor Ibrahim has said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has sought one or two days time to consult over ongoing dialogue process with the government, Dunya News reported on Monday.

Talking to Dunya News, Professor Ibrahim said talks committee’s coordinator Maulana Yousaf Shah has recently contacted Taliban Shura and they will submit their reply within a day or two.

He said government and TTP negotiators will meet Taliban Shura in tribal areas and venue will be decided within two days.

Agenda of talks is peace, thus, ceasefire from both sides is necessary to continue the dialogue process, he added.

The Taliban negotiator said that detailed demands should be presented this time to move ahead in the talks process.

He said a sub-committee is also being formed to deal with the complaints of both sides.
