Nationwide rallies express solidarity with Pak Army

Summary Protest rallies were held in different areas of Pakistan today.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – People came out on the streets in different areas to express solidarity with Pak Army and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Dunya News reported on Saturday.

Participants in the rallies have demanded cancellation of Geo News’ license for adopting anti-state policies.

In Multan, lawyers held a rally in support of Pakistan’s defence institutions and condemned Geo News' allegations against Pakistan's prime intelligence agency.

Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Pakistan Defence Council held protest demonstrations outside press club in Dera Ismail Khan. They chanted slogans and Jang and Geo News.

Protestors in Muzaffarabad chanted slogans in support of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and DG ISI Lt General Zaheerul Islam.

They have demanded strict action against those criticising Pak Army and country’s other organisations.

In mosques, resolutions were passed in support of the defence forces of the country and condemnation of the anti-army elements.

A rally was taken out in Larkana to express solidarity with the security forces. Demonstrators have asked the Supreme Court to suspended declaration of Geo News and Jang newspaper.
