KARACHI (Web Desk) – Sindh flour mills association continued strike on second day to protest against officials of food department, excise department and police for the ongoing bribery, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

The mills are protesting over harassment by officials of the food department who are seeking bribes at check-posts in the interior Sindh.

The mill owners have accused food, excise department and police officials of receiving Rs 10,000 bribe for per truck.

Due to ongoing strike, flour supply to different areas has been suspended and if the strike continued further, it could cause severe shortage in the province.

On the other hand, talks are underway between Sindh food department and flour mills association to settle the issue.
