Summary It is feared that the attacks might be the result of the ongoing infighting between TTP factions.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - At least 13 people were killed and two others injured on Friday morning in two separate terrorist attacks in Pakistan s northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan.
The first incident took place when a roadside bomb blast hit a vehicle in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, killing three people and injuring two others.
The bomb was planted on the roadside and was triggered with a remote controlled device.
In the other incident, some unknown people fired a rocket at a vehicle in the Shawal area that killed six people on spot and left four others injured who died during treatment in hospital.
The identities of the 13 victims were not known yet and no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks yet.
It is feared that the attacks might be the result of the ongoing infighting between two factions of the banned militant organization of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan that started last Sunday.
Over 40 people have been reported dead so far in the armed clashes between two feuding factions of the Tehreek-e-Taliban.
The fighters from the two sides have been attacking each other with heavy ammunition and artillery in the restive tribal regions of North Waziristan and South Waziristan that border Afghanistan.
